Perceptions of A Crisis:
Application of Psychometric Theory of Risk and Kingdon’s Three Streams

Fall 2019

Written in the fall quarter of my senior year, this essay applies theories of political risk and applies them to climate change, using the risk perception prior to, during, and after Hurricane Katrina as a model of the United States' preparedness for future climate disasters.

The Influence of Astroturfing on
Anti-Lockdown Protests

June 2020

An analysis of the influence of political astroturfing written in the summer quarter of my senior year, this paper details how astroturfing was used by political players to drum up agitation and support for lockdown protests during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
